Widows in Oju LGA of Benue State have commended a philanthropist, Chief Frank Alochu Ikpobu, who through Frank Alochu Foundation granted scholarship to 21 indigent students and children of the widows in the area.

The widows made the commendation during the ceremony in which the carefully selected secondary school student recipients, from all the eleven council wards of the council, were presented with the grant of scholarship, in OJU, at the weekend.

Pouring out their hearts, the elated widows described Chief Alochu as one among a few like him that will live in the hearts of people eternally.

Former council chairman, Dr Daniel Ulegede, aka Kosoko, who stood on behalf of Alochu, promised that the scholarship award would be an annual event.

The widows and the recipients of the scholarship were full of thanks to God and the scholarship provider for the gesture and prayed God to bless him more.

The scholarship covers the three terms of 2015/2016 academic session for each of the awardees.
