Few years ago, many people in our clime took some of us that embraced the social media early, knowing how powerful a tool it is, not to be serious. We were labelled and coloured in all negative forms.
Very much later, former president, Goodluck Jonathan joined and use it effectively for his election in 2011. Undoubtedly, his re-election bid four years later was truncated by the use of the same social media power largely.
So many world leaders are appreciating the enormously effectual power of the social media when our prefect senators in Nigeria are making futile efforts to trample on it.
Hahahahaha! What amused me greatly somewhere l went for some refreshments is the declaration made by one diehard but educated illiterate supporter of Mr. David Mark in the re-run quagmire.
He said we could go ahead with our writings on the internet against his boss, that he is too sure not a half percent of our people will get the messages.
Wonderful! How could someone in 2015 say that kind of thing? Ok. Let’s see how deep necked he, obviously, seems to be in the old world order.
Unfortunately, Mr. David Mark who, apparently, does not have strong presence in the social media will certainly get to feel the heat when it’s turned on him eventually.
To all those that underestimate the power of the social media, see you there!
