Benue State Government has appealed to some staff of the Hospitals Management Board, Makurdi who were employed in a replacement exercise on June 30, 2014, to be patient with the government, saying their plight was being looked into by Governor Samuel Ortom administration.
Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Odeh Ageh, who conveyed the appeal in a statement, said the Ortom’s administration is disturbed by the plight of the workers and is working towards addressing it, before long.
Hon. Ageh who said succour would come the way of the workers as soon as the ongoing statewide verification exercise is over, commended them for being law-abiding, urging them to remain so.
It would be recalled that the concerned staff of the board had written two open letters to the state Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, drawing his attention to their plight.
Subsequently, the Information Commissioner stated that the state government has since then commenced investigation into the plight of the workers with the aim to addressing it.
