Mr. Anthony Iji, formerly of the Financial Standard, has imageannounced the birth of The Top 10, a monthly magazine publication to celebrate best ten individuals and institutions that excel and distinguish selves in their chosen fields.

According to a statement signed by the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief of the magazine, Mr. Iji, a copy of which, was made available to jamesibechi.wordpress.com (The Liberal Commentariat), the new magazine by Toncam Communications Nigeria Limited, Lagos, is not a conceptualized news publication that would be expected to compete for scoops and breaking news, but a “platform to celebrate excellence, – the ten leading lights that represent excellence in every chosen field.”

Mr Iji said: “We believe that our offering, The Top 10, will not only add value and enrich the Nigerian bourgeoning media industry; it will provide a platform to inspire our people to aspire to be the best in their chosen areas of activity.

“Every month, the magazine will beam search light on every segment of human endeavour to identify and celebrate the ten leading lights from any chosen field such as politics, economy, entertainment, sports, academics, etc.”

Apart from the top ten which is the main thrust of the magazine, it also have other interesting sections that will delight the readers, such as The Founder, Dynasty Report, corporate succession, Top 10 Trendings, etc.

The maiden edition of the magazine is already released to the market, with the cover story on the Top Ten image makers in corporate Nigeria.

It’s an Exposure’ on the backgrounds of Nigeria’s best ten new generation perception managers. The list includes: Tony Ojobo, Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); Kufre Ekanem, Corporate Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc; Emeka Opara, Vice President, Corporate Communications and CSR, AirtelNigeria; Hajia Lami Tumaka, Deputy Director/Head, Public Relations, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency; Folake Ani-Mumuney, General Manager and Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria.
