Amidst the biting effects of the nationwide economic depression, Alochu Foundation has jacked up its service to humanity, just as it is set to again empower indigent students in secondary schools across the eleven Council Wards of Oju LGA of Benue state.
The would-be beneficiaries will be picked randomly in a well-articulated formulae to ensure all the Council Wards come out having at least one person receiving the scholarship.
You would remember, in 2015, Alochu Foundation did same to re-establish hope for a good future for over a hundred orphans across Oju.
In a chat with Chief Alochu Frankie, the owner of the vision and President of Odochu Global Inc. in his palatable residence in Accra, Ghana, he said one widow from each of the eleven Council Wards will be empowered with N50, 000 each in January 2017, as first encouragement or for them to venture into small scale businesses.
He described his intention and purposes as necessary cushioning balm for the widows while the economic recession lasts.
Chief Alochu, as popularly called, used the occasion to inform the
general public of some spirited individuals he has mandated to oversee the affairs of his Foundation for the next one year amongst whom are James Ibechi(Director, Media), Peter Ogbaji(Director, Finance) and Comrade Andyson Iji Egbodo(Managing Director). Others are Hon. Christopher Ijale(Secretary) and Mr Thompson Adagba(Member).
Chief Alochu made provisions frantically for the smooth take off of his Foundation’s 2017 charity works with each of the appointees presented with a brand new HP, Windows 8 Laptop Computers.
Chief Alochu pointed out that with the rising social engineering and re-orientation of our people, never again shall the Igede people be seen to be the less economically viable Nation in Benue State.
He encouraged Igede people to eschew hatred and bitterness to embrace peace and love for fellow men.
He enjoined all well-meaning Igede sons and daughters to cue into the new thinking of helping and loving one another.
“That is the only way by which Igede Kingdom will take its place in the comity of the world’s greatest kingdoms,” he stressed.
