Alochu Foundation on Friday inaugurated a five-man board to facilitate rapid, even and sustainable implementation of the charity programmes, packages and general development of the foundation.
The visionary cum philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Chief Frankie Ipobu Alochu while inaugurating the new board said, the new team is called to serve in bringing hope to the hopeless in the society, towards eradicating poverty, disease and hopelessness.
Represented by Comr. Andyson Iji Egbodo, Chief Alochu, while giving specific terms of reference to the team in the spirit of service and call to duty, said charity work is the cardinal purpose of the foundation.
The board of directors comprises Comrade Egbodo (Oju clan), Coordinator; Mr. Christopher Ijale, Secretary (Ito clan); Mr. Peter Ogbaji (Ukpa), Director Finance; Mr. James Ibechi (Ibila), Director Media and Mr. Thompson Adagba (Member).
The secretary of the newly inaugurated board, Mr. Ijale while appreciating Chief Alochu for finding them worthy to serve in this capacity said, they are determined to change the story of the foundation.
Meanwhile, Chief Alochu has made provisions frantically for the smooth take off of the foundation’s 2017 charity works with each of the appointees presented with a brand new HP, Windows 8 Laptop Computers.
Chief Alochu pointed out that with the rising social engineering and re-orientation of our people, never again shall the Igede people be seen to be the less economically viable Nation in Benue State.
In line with that, as from second week of January, the foundation will roll out its empowerment for indigent students in secondary schools across the eleven Council Wards of Oju LGA of Benue State, just as select widows cutting across the entire council wards of the LGA will each befit from the N50 000 poverty alleviation donation to both widows and orphans alike
