I remember as a little boy in the 80s, construction of church was collectively carried out by members. Adult men and women directly built the church. Money was only needed to buy the requisite materials.
It took a lot of time and energy of members but slowly and steadily, the people put up their places of worship.
This building of churches using communal efforts engendered unity and equality of members.
Today, our men of God go to corrupt politicians, drugs barons, kidnappers, armed robbers and the likes to build edifices.
Please, let us make the house of God truly a sacred place by going back to the old and acceptable way.
