Dr. Adetokunbo Pearse, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Lagos State, has described his party as the only alternative to both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Pearse, who was spoke to DAILY INDEPENDET at the inauguration of the campaign office of Hon. Toyin Raheen, the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Agege Constituency 2, said the SDP would provide solutions to the nation’s myriads of problems.

He said Lagosians should support the SDP to experience real change, adding that the state would witness massive and better development under his people-oriented administration.

He said that Lagos would be a neater place under the SDP administration, even as he lamented that refuse dumps had taken over the streets in the metropolis, thereby exposing the people to diseases.


Pearse said the SDP would run a  welfarist administration which would be people-centred, even as pledged to ensure that there would be better and improved standard of education and health facilities that would be affordable by the people.

Hon. Raheem, in his speech, promised the people of Agege Constituency 2 a better representation if elected, stressing that he would initiate bills and motions that would help to improve lives in the area.

He said he would help to ensure that the youths of the constituency were taken off the streets, as they would be gainfully employed and empowered to be productive positively.

Raheem, who urged the people of the area to embrace the SDP, said his party’s administration would provide social amenities to ensure people’s improved living standard, while beggers would be taken off the streets.
